Toto, Kansas both references; Pamela Bussi and Bozeman. Pamela, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Bozeman any more.
This is the feeling I had when recently doing a three-day photo shoot in Big Sky, Montana. Long hours, lots of different locations, many different themes, parties and events taking place during this photo shoot.
As a photographer, I take great pride in getting all my camera gear together, organized and ready for a photo shoot; batteries, camera, backup camera, lights, flashes, and the list goes on. My car is full of photography equipment. For many photo shoots, lasting more than one day, change of clothing as well as personal items are brought as well. Camera batteries charged a day prior to my photo engagements. Cell phone charger is packed, computer items and any other electronic equipment I think I may need.
Now getting my personal items together is a completely different story. When I pack my personal items, for some unknown reason, it is quick, fast and at the time it appears to be with
So Big Sky, here I am. Unpack and unpack. It seems at times ridiculous all the photography equipment and that little suitcase of personal items. Bozeman seems so close and yet so far, when there is not time for a missed piece of equipment.
Three-day shoot with three different and unique costumes and attire for each day. Some days require a couple of different clothing changes for the themed events. The first day, a breeze, completely perfect, which usually means the rest of the shoot will go as well. Later, I would realize this was an illusion.
Second day comes and to my horror, I found that I had forgotten my slip, spanx as well as a strapless bra. Not a problem, I shall purchase them in Big Sky. At times it is fun to forget items, a new purchase happens.
Aging is a funny process, things begin to travel south on the body. So the bra and spanx is a daily clothing requirement. Keeping the boobs and butt in place, is not easy when the aging process takes hold.
Ok, so here is the question; have you ever tried to purchase spanx, slip and a strapless bra in Big Sky, Montana? My question is, do women in Big Sky not wear spanx, slips and strapless bras? No lingerie to be found at all. No panties, nothing. Makes me wonder about the women in Big Sky, gives me a whole new perspective. Do women in Big Sky age differently? Am I missing out on something by living in Bozeman? In Bozeman I can purchase my spanx, slip and strapless bra at a number of locations.
Is there a reason no lingerie is found in Big Sky? I wonder if someone might find it to be a great business venture to obtain some lingerie for the Big Sky area. Do women that travel to Big Sky really pack that much better than I do?
Now, back to the photo shoot. So no costumes for a couple of days, some very inventive items for costumes and no one knows any different. So about that list, seems like it would save me much grief, when packing next time. I would like to say I would get more organized, however, having lived with myself for over 50 years, yea, that probably will not be the case. The list however, will be practical idea for assisting in the packing of the lingerie.
Happy traveling and photographing!
